      The bell

The ritual hand-bell represents the feminine principle of the ‘perfection of wisdom’,which directly realizes emptiness. The feminine bell is always held in the left ‘wisdom’hand of a deity or practitioner, and is commonly paired with the masculine vajra, which is held in the right ‘method’hand. Together they symbolize the perfect union of wisdom or emptiness and the vajra form. (Reference:TIBETAN BUDDHIST SYMBOLS by Robert Beer)
